Firefight is the second novel in the Reckoners series, and comes right after [mitosis]({{< ref "mitosis.md" >}}). Our heroes go on to fight some more super powered individuals and learn a few bits and pieces about what happened to bestow powers in the first place or the logics behind heroes weaknesses.
This is a good novel that I really enjoyed, really action packed. The characters are still fun to follow and everything is really well paced. This is still a very light read compared to other book series, but fun anyway. I recommend!

Mitosis is a short story taking place between the first two novels in the Reckoners series. The events in this story happen right after the ending of [Steelheart]({{< ref "Steelheart.md" >}}) and are a nice piece of action.
This is a good short read that I really enjoyed. The bad guy is silly and great and provides a satisfying struggle for our heroes.

Steelheart is the first novel in the Reckoners series. It stands apart the other books from this author by not taking place in the Cosmere, meaning the action takes place a different universe without any link to the rest of his work. It depicts a post-apocalyptic world ruled by evil superhuman people and follows a band of humans trying to make a difference.
This is a good novel that I really enjoyed. The characters are great and the action is really well paced. This was a very light read compared to mistborn or stormlight archives, which is refreshing in a way. I strongly recommend this book!
